Our Story

How quarvexxad came to be

quarvexxad grew out of a straightforward observation: many Malaysian businesses — particularly family-owned firms and owner-managed operations in Perak — make significant financial decisions without the benefit of independent written analysis. The information exists inside the business, but it is rarely assembled into a form that allows the principals to see the whole picture clearly.

The firm was founded by a small group of practitioners who had spent years working alongside finance teams in manufacturing, trading, and professional services. Over time, they noticed that the engagements which produced the most lasting value were the ones that concluded with a clear written document — something that could be set before a bank, a board, or a successor without further explanation.

That observation became the founding principle of quarvexxad. Every engagement, regardless of its scope or price, ends in writing. The Capital Structure Review produces a board note and a full written review. The Cash Conversation produces a two-thousand-word diagnostic. Even the Margin Note — our most focused offering — results in a written document the client can use independently of us.

We are based in Ipoh and work primarily with firms across Perak, though we take on engagements from elsewhere in peninsular Malaysia when the fit is right. We are most useful to firms where the finance function is lean — where the owner or a small team is doing much of the financial thinking — and where an outside perspective, set down carefully in writing, is more valuable than ongoing advisory retainers.

Our fees are fixed and stated clearly before any work begins. We do not bill by the hour, we do not expand scope without discussion, and we do not send invoices that contain surprises. The price you see on our Solutions page is the price you pay.

We hold client information in strict confidence. We do not publish case studies that identify clients, we do not name firms we have worked with, and we put non-disclosure agreements in place wherever a client prefers it. Financial information is treated, as it should be, as a private matter.

"We set out to provide the kind of financial analysis that a careful, experienced adviser would write for their own family's business — thorough, plainly expressed, and of lasting use."

Our Standards

How we keep the work sound

Written output as standard

Every engagement concludes with a written document. Verbal summaries and slide decks alone are not acceptable deliverables at quarvexxad — the written note is the engagement.

Internal review before delivery

Each written note is reviewed internally before reaching the client. Figures are checked, logic is tested, and the document is read by at least two practitioners before dispatch.

Strict information confidentiality

Client financial information is held securely, shared only within the engagement team, and never used in any external communication without explicit written consent.

Independence, maintained

We accept no commissions, referral fees, or benefits from banks, lenders, or any financial product providers. Our conclusions are shaped by the numbers, not by external incentives.

Fixed scope and pricing

The scope of each engagement is documented before work begins. Changes in scope are discussed openly, and no additional fees are raised without prior agreement.

Continuing professional study

Practitioners at quarvexxad maintain active reading in financial analysis, Malaysian commercial law, and sector-specific developments relevant to the firms we serve.

Our Expertise

Financial consulting for Malaysian businesses

Malaysian owner-managed businesses often operate in a financially complex environment. Working capital is stretched by extended receivables terms. Bank facilities may not have been reviewed since they were first arranged. Pricing decisions are made on instinct rather than margin analysis. These are not signs of poor management — they are the natural condition of a lean business moving quickly.

quarvexxad exists to provide what many such businesses lack: a careful, independent reading of the financial position, set out in writing, without excessive jargon. Our practitioners understand the realities of doing business in Perak and across the northern peninsula — the banking relationships, the supplier terms common in regional trade, the particular pressures faced by family businesses managing succession.

Our three written engagements address the questions that arise most frequently in the firms we work with: whether the capital structure is still appropriate for where the business is today, where cash friction is actually coming from, and whether a particular financial decision is likely to improve or harm the margin position. These are not small questions, and they deserve careful written answers rather than quick verbal opinions.

We are not a substitute for your accountant or your legal adviser. We work alongside them, examining the financial picture from a consulting perspective and setting out what we find in a form they can use. The written note we deliver becomes part of your business record — a reference point for future decisions, a document for your bank, a foundation for the next conversation.
